HTAC believes that investing in children, providing them with innovative educational tools and empowering them with knowledge is the most effective way to end a nearly 30-year cycle of ignorance, fear, conflict, and poverty and prepare a new generation of Afghans to become proud and productive citizens in rebuilding their country.
Since our inception, our educational programs have been designed to address the emerging, yet unmet needs of the country. In fact, many of our programs have been the first of their kind for Afghan public schools and several of them have subsequently been incorporated into the developing educational curriculum of Afghanistan’s Ministry of Education. Yet, because educational resources remain scarce at the national level, HTAC continues to be called upon to lend our expertise and experience in delivering these and other programs to tens of thousands of Afghan children each year.
At the core of our work is our continuing commitment to design and deliver each of our programs with a high level of quality and a respect for Afghan culture so they are not only effective in transferring knowledge, but are (also), enthusiastically supported by school officials, parents, and local communities.
